Tricia Ryan BA BSc. MBA

Business strategist and public speaker Tricia Ryan is co-founder of The Marketing Chefs, an educational consultancy that helps entrepreneurs market their products and services. She has spent much of her 25-year career building brands in the food, beverage, OTC drug, financial and hospitality industries.
Tricia has numerous post-university certifications: Registered Dietician, Value Engineer, Integrative Coach and Regulatory Agent.
Tricia began her career in the food service hospitality industry, followed by a move to marketing with H.J. Heinz and advertising, as an Account Director with Grey Advertising.
For more than 20 years Tricia has run The Marketing Toolbox, a Toronto-based consultancy specializing in strategic planning, market research and the application of innovation and creative problem solving to product and concept development.
Tricia studied creativity and now leads at the University of Buffalo Creativity Institute. She has taken De Bono 6 Thinking Hats Workshop training, and five years ago she trained as a certified user of The Customer's Mind, an online quantitative research technology.
Recently Tricia trained and became a partner with Lego Serious PlayTM, giving The Marketing Toolbox the rights to this innovative, experiential process that facilitates hands-on, minds-on learning to help create a deeper understanding of brand opportunities.
Tricia is also the co-author of Hungry to Succeed, a practical marketing resource to help small business owners improve their success with smart marketing practices. Tricia is also co-founder of The Marketing Chefs, an educational consulting group that provides traditional and new media marketing to small and mid-sized businesses. Custom courses include: distance learning, one-on-one coaching, seminars and workshops.
At age 50, Tricia re-positioned herself as an online expert, developing an expertise in the new Internet media and technology. With her newfound calling, Tricia encourages other technophobes to join her in mastering the Web and finding new purpose, meaning and vision. Her Hungry to Succeed workshops show you how to take your accumulated skills and find a whole new use and application for your strengths.
